It's unlike anything I've ever read: It follows the life and many deaths of Ursula, a girl born in 1910. And covers are very important to me-if I had my way, most of them would fall somewhere in the zone of Jhumpa Lahiri's Unaccustomedīut there's a compliment hidden in this complaint: Once I finally caved, I loved the book despite its cover. I don't know what it is I can't stand it. I'm going to be honest here: There is a reason besides book backup I didn't read this highly acclaimed novel right away.
